- Boost Control Solenoid 3 Port 33Hz Thread: 1/8 NPT
Why use this package?
- The most straight forward solution to tuning your turbocharged 1FZ is to utilize a Haltech Elite ECU as a piggyback, keeping the factory ECU integrated into the car.
- This allows factory functions to stay operational while the piggyback ECU controls fuel, timing & boost – On automatic Landcruiser’s, that also means leaving the factory ECU in control of the transmission shift points as it should from factory.
- We have created this package with an Elite 750 ECU and the required sensors for tuning.
- Many of the 1FZ-FE Landcruiser’s turbocharged and tuned in-house at HD Automotive use this exact setup.
How is it fitted?
- The Elite 750 comes with a plug and pin kit allowing it to be wired into factory ECU.
- The ECU comes with a Haltech diagram and will have to be wired by either an auto-electrician or yourself.
Can I add more sensors and displays?
Yes, additional sensors and displays can be wired in the ECU such as,
- Oil/Fuel Pressure
- Oil/Fuel Temperature
- CAN Gauges/Displays
Important notes,
What is the methodology behind using a piggy back ECU on a 1FZ?
- Retains the factory ECU for function of things such as sub tank, dash cluster, and other vehicle functions and instrumentation,
- Price – we find this package is suitable for 90% of builds around the 350-400HP mark.
Can you help me wire this in over the phone?
- We cannot provide extended support when it comes to wiring these in yourself as a DIY installer.
- There are simply far, far too many variations of ECU, different builds around the world, different wiring, etc. for us to support every single installation.
- So, when it comes to providing a 1FZ specific diagram, it is not reliably possible for us to do this. The Haltech diagram is provided offering full explanation of pins and pin outs of the ECU.
- A level of experience or willingness to learn is expected on you, the user, to undertake prior or during fitment.
- We love helping as much as we can, but this is a generic kit provided with an ‘all you need’ approach to the parts supply. We are not auto electricians.
