5L Pre Combustion Chamber (Swirl Chamber) suitable for Toyota Hilux LN167 LN169 LN172
A brand new pre combustion chamber, also called a swirl chamber, suitable for the Toyota 5L 3.0L diesel. The 5L is an indirect injection engine. Fuel is sprayed into this small chamber in the cylinder head, where it starts to burn before the flame moves into the cylinder. Each cylinder has its own chamber pressed into the head.
Heat and age can crack them, and cracked chambers often turn up when a 5L head comes off after overheating or for a rebuild. Buy them individually to replace only the damaged ones, or as a set of four to do the whole head.

🔧 Fitment Details:
- Each chamber replaces one pre combustion chamber in the 5L cylinder head
- The cylinder head must be removed to fit it
- Chambers are pressed into the head. We recommend having a machine shop fit them and check they sit at the correct height against the head face

Q: How many do I need?
A: The 5L has four cylinders and one chamber per cylinder, so a full head needs four. Choose Set of 4 for a full replacement, or Individual if only some are damaged.

A: Yes. The chambers sit in the cylinder head, so the head has to come off to replace them.
