ANJ029 60A Alternator with Vacuum Pump suitable for Nissan Patrol GQ TD42 Silver Top 1988-1995
A JAS Oceania ANJ029 replacement alternator for the early “Silver Top” TD42 in the Nissan Patrol GQ and Ford Maverick DA, up to 1995. On these engines the vacuum pump for the brake booster bolts to the back of the alternator and runs off it, so the replacement has to come with the pump. This one does. It is built to OEM specification and bolts in where the factory unit came out.
Later TD42 engines don’t drive the vacuum pump off the alternator. If yours is a later engine, you want the ANJ409 or ANJ409HO alternator without the vacuum pump.

Q: How do I know if I have a Silver Top TD42?
A: Look at the rocker cover. The early engines have a silver cover, and the alternator on them has a vacuum pump on the back with a hose running to the brake booster. If your alternator has that pump, this is the right replacement.
Q: Does it come with the vacuum pump?
A: Yes. The pump is fitted to the alternator.
Q: Will it fit a GU Patrol?
A: No. The GU TD42 doesn’t use an alternator-driven vacuum pump. See the ANJ409 range instead.
Q: What output is it?
A: 60 amps at 12 volts. The ANJ029HO is the 100 amp option.
