3 Inch exhaust upgradeÂ
Having nearly twice the internal volume, 3 Inch offers much more flow than a small factory exhaust and will support all performance upgrades on the 1HD – we have pushed well over 400HP and 1000+NM Through the 3″ Manta exhaust.
In terms of sound level Manta rate their systems in ‘LOUD’ ‘MEDIUM’ and ‘QUIET’Â
We find for the 1HD-FTE, Being factory turbocharged – You can always opt for a louder option, the MEDIUM option with hotdog resonator unlocks the famous sound of a 1HD-FTE like it should. But we wouldn’t consider to be at all too loud or ‘droney’ – considering it has a resonator and a turbocharger.
The LOUD option is a Straight pipe Exhaust with no resonator or Muffler.
-If wanting to go quieter at a later date, you can purchase the muffler section separately.
Aluminised or Stainless Steel Option?
The ‘Aluminised’ option is a coating for the mild steel, inside & out. Manta have a 2 year warranty on this but we typically expect an exhaust to last a lot longer. Still has the same Manta build quality
-Stainless is the premium option from Manta, they are the highest quality for an off the shelf exhaust, fit & look great. Stainless steel will last much longer in corrosive environments, eg. beach driving
-Theres’s no difference between the sound of the two
