Manta Stainless Steel 4-inch DPF Back Exhaust suitable for Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series VDJ79 Ute 2016+
Manta 4″ mandrel bent exhaust in stainless steel, suitable for the Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series with the 1VD-FTV 4.5L V8 turbo diesel. It replaces the factory exhaust from the DPF back. The standard system runs piping as small as 2.25″, which chokes the engine. We supply and fit these as the best sounding, best fitting option for the 79 Series, and they free up the 1VD-FTV.
🚗 Suitable for:
- Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series VDJ79 single cab ute, 4.5L 1VD-FTV V8, DPF model (2016-onwards)
- Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series VDJ79 dual cab ute, 4.5L 1VD-FTV V8, DPF model (2016-onwards)
📦 What’s Included:
- 1x Manta 4″ stainless steel DPF back exhaust system, mandrel bent, with no mufflers or resonators
🔧 Fitment Details:
- Follows the same path as the factory exhaust and uses all the same mounting points
- The factory DPF stays in place
- Manta rate their systems as LOUD, MEDIUM and QUIET. They rate this one medium, but we reckon it is more on the quiet side, because the DPF soaks up a large part of the engine noise
- If you have a lowered fuel tank to fit an under-tray spare wheel or toolbox, the exhaust may touch the tank. Gently denting in the factory fuel tank heat shield gives enough clearance
⚙️ Why Choose Manta:
- 4″ mandrel bent pipe improves low-down torque and throttle response, reduces turbo lag, and improves efficiency and peak power
- Stainless steel is the premium option from Manta. It fits and looks great, and lasts much longer in corrosive environments such as beach driving
- Because the DPF is retained, we always choose the option with no mufflers or resonators for the DPF model 79 Series. It sounds just right

❓ FAQs:
Q: How loud is this exhaust?
A: Manta rate it as medium. With the DPF still in place we find it sits on the quiet side, even with no mufflers or resonators.
Q: Is it suitable for both the single cab and the dual cab?
A: Yes. It suits the 2016 onwards DPF model Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series in both single cab and dual cab.
Q: Does the DPF stay on the vehicle?
A: Yes. This is a DPF back system, so the factory DPF stays in place.
Q: Why stainless steel?
A: Stainless is the premium Manta option and lasts much longer in corrosive conditions such as beach driving. There is not much difference in sound between stainless and aluminised steel.
