PDI Front Mount Intercooler Kit suitable for Ford Ranger PX PX2 PX3 3.2L 2011-2022
The latest update to the PDI intercoolers for the Ford Ranger makes fitment easier with the updated PX3 facelift model through to the last of 3.2L (2022) model. The facelift model also saw a change to the radiator support panel, which allows us to fit the core further back without dropping the height (more than 20mm) and therefore allow the addition of the transmission cooler kit – see below if you have a PX1 as we think it should also fit there with some tweaks.
This core is much larger than the factory unit and will lower intake temperatures on your ranger.
Latest update: The new core is 680 x 260 x 76mm with slighter tighter end tank setup. This new design works with our class leading PDI transmission cooler kits, which need to be a serious consideration for any owners of the auto transmission model.

🛠️ Fitment Details:
- The centre (vertical) support is part of the radiator support panel and can not be purchased individually and welded into the original panel. The facelift used a new bonnet latch (attached with 2 bolts) and the centre support design sits slightly further back. After removing the lower bolt we found that the latch was still rock solid so to replicate the design of the PX2 we would cut the lower mount from both the latch and the centre support. The updated intercooler will then be able to sit under the latch and if the intercooler still hits we would consider adding thicker spacers behind the upper intercooler mount or adjusting the centre support in the area just under the latch – call us to discuss.
⚙️ Why Choose the PDI Intercooler Kit:
- Fully cast end tanks ensures they are the strongest possible and least likely to split along a seam. We have had the air temperature sensor cast into the end tank as well as an oil drain.
- All piping is stainless steel and the turbo side piping is rerouted to be significantly shorter and with a single 63mm pipe.
- The core is positioned further back at the bottom to allow the fitment of a winch.
