We have successfully tuned hundreds of Toyota Hilux’s fitted with the 1KD-FTV engine. This intense focus on this specific range of products and tuning on the 1KD engine paired with our Multi-Mapping (5 Map Select) options and comprehensive performance packages has allowed us to develop a series of pre-tuned Uni-X modules that will replicate known and highly tested engine combinations giving you maximum potential gains while maintaining reliability and safety.

• Toyota Hilux N70 KUN26R KUN16R 1KD 3.0L engine 2007-2015 (With EGR cooler)
  Does not suit 2005-2006 models (without egr cooler)
  Does not suit overseas models with DPF
• Pre-Tunes available for performance packages with wastegate style Turbo, Such as Flex R77, PPRC F44, F55 Turbochargers.

⚙️ Benefits of the Unichip Uni-X Platform

• Coolant Temp Protection
  • The Unichip knows your coolant temperature via a voltage input from the ECU which is read from the engine’s sensor. This allows us to de-rate the tune when the engine is cold or even worse, hot. This feature is fully inbuilt and an autonomous function unique to the Unichip ECU. No user input is required
• 5 Map Select
  • One of our favorite features of the Unichip Uni-X is that it allows us to offer 5 completely different tunes at the touch of a button. This means you get to have your full send party tune which may be 300+HP at the wheels, and still lend the car to a mate on the 200HP tune. Typically the tunes are offered as follows,
  • Tune 1: Power
  • Tune 2: Tow (Leaner AFR, still maintains a focus on HP & Torque)
  • Tune 3: Eco (Lean AFR, heavy focus on fuel efficiency)
  • Tune 4: Stock
  • Tune 5: Immobilizer (Disables accelerator pedal)

❓ FAQs:

Q: What are the limitations of a Unichip?
A: Unichip doesn’t reprogram the factory ECU, so cannot turn off EGR codes or delete the VNT system. An ECU recalibration is required to do this.

Q: ‘m located overseas, will this work for me?
A: We can only offer the Pre-Tuned Unichip for your 1KD if it is the same as our KUN26R, which had a factory EGR cooler and is non-DPF. Many late models had a DPF system which uses a completely different ECU/Injectors. Or are an earlier version of the 1KD with no EGR cooler.
