Why should I fit these to my engine? 

These studs can replace the existing cylinder head bolts on your engine and provide increased head clamping which is required in high performance applications to prevent a head gasket failure. This is done by allowing a more evenly distributed and accurate torque load compared to a standard head bolt. Using an ARP2000 stud will eliminate the twisting force created during tightening.

When do I need to fit head studs to my 1HD-FT or 1HD-FTE engine? 

We recommend fitting head studs when you plan on running more than 35psi of boost, or have a horse power goal of over 350HP.
