An aftermarket 2.2kW starter motor for the 1KD-FTV. It is a quality standard replacement part that will function and work as intended for a fraction of the genuine price. If you are constantly four wheel driving and shortening the life of starter motors by submerging them in mud and water, it makes a lot of sense to fit a cost-effective part.
Two solenoid terminal types exist on the 1KD. This is the early terminal version, and an adaptor harness is supplied so it works with either. The late terminal version is the SNJ208. If you are unsure which you have, compare the terminal on your old starter, or call us and we will sort it out.

A: The starter spins but doesn’t turn the engine over, or nothing happens when you turn the key on a fully charged battery, or there is a grinding noise as it engages.

A: Compare the terminal on your old starter. The adaptor harness in the box covers the other type either way, so you are right whichever it is.
Q: My Hilux is an N70, is this the right starter?
