An aftermarket 80A alternator for the 4JJ1 3.0 litre diesel, replacing the Denso unit.

Two different alternators were fitted to these vehicles. Isuzu used a Denso unit on some and a Hitachi unit on others, and they are not interchangeable. The Denso type has a raised plug, RP55, and this is its replacement. The Hitachi type has a sunken plug, RP19, and takes a different alternator. Look at the plug on your old unit before you order. We stock the other one as well, so ring us if you are unsure.

Q: Raised or sunken plug, how do I tell?
A: Look at where the regulator plug sits on the back of the alternator. On the Denso unit it stands proud, on the Hitachi it sits down in a recess.
