The standard clutch fitted to the 1KD-FTV engine is a well known weak point and will start to slip at anything over standard power. This BRC Organic Clutch is Rated up to 350HP and will handle anything you can throw at it while still maintaining a great pedal feel.

❓ FAQs

Q: Is this an upgraded clutch?
A: Yes, this is a dual-diaphragm clutch designed to handle increased performance

Q: Does the clutch have a torque Rating?
BRC rate use a horsepower rating system instead of torque. The 350HP clutch will handle a performance 1KD with +30 injectors, 44/55MM turbocharger and dyno tuning.

Q: Is there a stronger clutch available?
Yes we also have a BRC ceramic clutch available for 500HP+, however 350HP is already on par with what the factory R151F transmission can realistically handle.

Q: Is this a 275MM flywheel? What about Pre 06/2008 Models?
A: Pre 06/2008 models have a smaller 260MM flywheel and clutch kit. This 275MM flywheel kit completely replaces that clutch with no modifications required.

Q: Do I need the flywheel kit?
A: We recommend going for the fly wheel kit as it saves you paying to have yours machined and avoids downtime with the vehicle, however if you would like to see our clutch only kit you can click here for pre 06/2008 models or here for post 07/2008 models.

WHO ARE BRC CLUTCH?BRC Clutch is owned by PK Automotive in Thailand. Thailand has a long history with the diesel drag racing scene producing the fastest diesel drag cars in the world, with the support of BRC Clutch kits.When we met the owners of BRC Clutch in Melbourne, their promotional material focused on three things:Strength in racing, reliability in farming, and comfort in the daily drive. We were surprised to see that while in Australia we rely on the use of vehicles such as the Toyota Landcruiser 70 Series for agricultural use, Thailand relies almost solely on the use of the popular 4 Cylinder common-rail vehicles such as the Isuzu D-Max, Toyota Hilux (VIGO - N70 and REVO - N80) to carry out these duties. Which is where the desire to build a strong, reliable and comfortable clutch has come from. This desire to improve the factory components to support (quite literally) unbelievable amounts of weight in the tray of the vehicles has crossed over heavily into the diesel drag and diesel track racing scene.
