A low mount tubular exhaust manifold suitable for the Toyota Hilux N80 with the 1GD-FTV 2.8L turbo diesel, made by BRD in Thailand. It keeps the turbo in the factory position. If you’re fitting a larger turbo such as an F44 or F55, the tubular runners improve exhaust flow and response. BRD builds its manifolds from thick steel, and performance workshops rate them for not cracking.

• Keeps the factory turbo position, so the turbo doesn’t need relocating.
• Needs the recommended exhaust manifold stud and nut kit.
• One of the turbo-to-manifold studs has to be swapped for a bolt and nut.
• The airbox to turbocharger pipe sits close to the manifold once fitted. It clears, but check it during the install.
• The EGR system has to come off, because the manifold has no EGR port.

A: Yes. The manifold has no EGR port, so the EGR system has to be removed as part of the install. Check your state’s emissions laws first, because EGR removal isn’t legal for road use everywhere.
