Recommended replacement intervals,

• We recommend replacing your TD42 injectors every 100,000 KM’s for longevity and reliability of your engine.
• We also recommend replacing your injectors when replacing the standard injector pump or upgrading to a performance 12mm injector pump
• Or, if your are experiencing any of the above symptoms, your injectors may need to be replaced.

• It is common to have the injector bleed off rail break when replacing the injectors due to age.
• This occurs when undoing the injector from the head – it is common that the return rail becomes ‘stuck’ to the injector and spins with it causing it to snap.

Important Note regarding TD42Ti engines only,

• These do not suit TD42Ti engines as the #1 injector has a wire on it going back to the injector pump for a injection timing signal. If you have replaced your Ti pump with an aftermarket pump,  you can go ahead and fit these injectors – however you will need to also replace the return rail as well.

FAQs

Q: Do I need different injectors for a 10mm, 11mm or 12mm pump?
A: No. These are pintle nozzle injectors that crack open at a set pressure, so the size of the pump does not change which injector you need. The standard genuine set is the right choice from a standard TD42 right up to a 300hp setup.

Q: How often should I replace them?
A: We recommend every 100,000km. Also replace them when you fit a new or upgraded injector pump, or if you have any of the symptoms listed above.

Q: Do they suit a TD42Ti?
A: Not if you are keeping the factory injection pump. The number one injector on a Ti carries a wire back to the pump for the injection timing signal. If you have already fitted an aftermarket pump you can run these, but you will need a new return rail as well.

Q: Is an exchange required?
A: No. This is a brand new set for outright purchase. Keep your old set or pass it on to a local injector shop.
