• Nissan Patrol GU Y61 1997-2006 TD42T 4.2L Turbo Diesel (Factory turbo, non turbo and aftermarket turbo)
• All TD42 Engines (Except TI models if retaining factory injection pump)

Signs that you need to replace your fuel injectors on your TD42 are,

• Trouble starting the vehicle
• Uneven Idling
• Misfiring
• Excessive smoke
• Increase in fuel consumption

Recommended replacement intervals,

• We recommend replacing your TD42 injectors every 100,000 KM’s for longevity and reliability of your engine.
• We also recommend replacing your injectors when replacing the standard injector pump or upgrading to a performance 12mm injector pump
• Or, if your are experiencing any of the above symptoms, your injectors may need to be replaced.

Other recommend items,

• It is common to have the injector bleed off rail break when replacing the injectors due to age.
• This occurs when undoing the injector from the head – it is common that the return rail becomes ‘stuck’ to the injector and spins with it causing it to snap.

• This is a brand new set for outright purchase, NO EXCHANGE REQUIRED. We do not recommend throwing your old set out, maybe give them to a local injector shop.

Important Note regarding TD42Ti engines only,

• These do not suit TD42Ti engines as the #1 injector has a wire on it going back to the injector pump for a injection timing signal. If you have replaced your Ti pump with an aftermarket pump,  you can go ahead and fit these injectors – however you will need to also replace the return rail as well.
