The BRC performance clutch for the MQ MR Mitsubishi Triton 2.4L is a single mass conversion clutch. This heavy duty clutch is an excellent upgrade for those looking for more power out of there vehicle, or those simply looking to replace their factory dual mass clutch with a more reliable single mass upgrade.
The standard clutch fitted to the 2.4L 4N14 engine is a well known weak point and will start to slip at anything over standard power. The BRC Single Mass Flywheel Clutch Kit is rated up to 300HP and will handle anything you can throw at it while still maintaining a great pedal feel.
The slave cylinder is an optional replacement item in this kit. It is recommended to be replaced with any clutch change over. The reason for this is because it is an internal slave cylinder that doubles up as a release bearing, meaning that if failure of the old unit were to occur it would require the gearbox to be removed to rectify.
