Superior Hybrid Radius Arms with Drop Box suitable for Nissan Patrol GQ GU 2-3 Inch Lift (Pair)
The factory radius arm on a GQ or GU Patrol uses a pin-style rear mount. When the arm drops away off-road, that pin binds and loads up the mushroom bushes. That’s why they wear out early.
Superior’s Gen 2 Hybrid arm swaps the pin for a Toyota-style rear bush. The arm can drop without binding, so the bush lasts longer and the front end flexes further.
This pair has the castor correction built in for a 2 to 3 inch (50-75mm) lift. One arm covers both 2 inch and 3 inch lifts, so there’s no separate 2 inch version. The drop boxes come with the arms and bolt straight in, with no cutting.
If your lifted Patrol wanders on the highway, or you keep replacing radius arm bushes, start here.

🛠️ Fitment details:
- The arms come drilled for 85mm sway bar saddles and the factory ABS lines. If your Patrol has 75mm saddles, or none, you’ll need 85mm sway bar mounts and bushes.
- Check the ABS sensor lines move freely through full travel.
- You may need to extend the factory bump stops, depending on your coils and shocks.
- Before you drive it, cycle the suspension through full compression and droop. Check clearances and coil bind.
- Superior requires a certified installer to fit these arms.
- These arms correct castor. They don’t move the diff forward to straighten the coils. That needs Superior’s Hybrid radius arm spacers, sold separately.
⚙️ Why choose these arms:
- Bisalloy 80 / Strenx 700 high tensile plate with a 32mm main beam
- High tensile bar bush eyes
- Laser cut, so the castor angle is where Superior designed it
- Factory size bushes, so replacements are easy to get
- Sandblasted, rust treated and powder coated. The sway bar adapter plate and bolts are SA5 zinc coated.
- Your factory sway bar and ABS lines bolt on
- Maximum clearance between the tie rod and the arms
- Plate steel bends in a big hit where a cast arm can crack. In Superior’s load test the arm deflected 4.1mm.
