- 80 Series
The factory 80 series ECU can not run sequential ignition, this kit can only be used with a modern aftermarket ECU, we recommend Haltech Elite.
- 105 Series
The 105 series 1FZ has a ‘wasted spark’ ignition, with 3 coil packs mounted remotely, it is an outdated design for turbocharged engines. The factory 105 series ECU can run this coil pack kit as a ‘wasted spark’ configuration, but best results are gained by using an aftermarket ECU.
- Plenum Options:
This kit only fits comfortably with Forward Facing Intake Plenums – there is a tight fit with some interference between the top of the 2GR Coil Pack Connector and Intake Pipe Joiner
You may choose to run this kit with a standard 1FZ Intake Plenum using the supplied adaptor harness, but you will need to spin the coil pack around.

❓ FAQs:
Q: Which direction does the loom run?
A: The loom was initially intended to run towards the front of the engine (Facing Distributor and down the side) But many installers choose to run it backwards toward the firewall, either option is possible.
Q: Does this work with my 80 Series ECU
A: Unfortunately the 80 Series factory ECU can not run this kit, as it has a factory distributor there is no output for six individual coils. An aftermarket ECU is required.
Q: Are wiring instructions provided?
A: A pinout loom is provided with this product for, but we cannot provide extended support when it comes to wiring these in yourself as a DIY installer. There are simply far, far too many variations of ECU, different builds around the world, different wiring, etc. for us to support every single installation.

I conducted an inquiry from the USA for products sold by HD Automotive. Matt there was responsive and gave me the info I asked about. I was in the planning stages of my build and was not ready to order just yet. Matt continued providing the info as my plan was coming together. Matt made suggestions along the way for items to consider. I took his suggestions and acted upon them too. Finally the day came to place my order. Order was placed and product received. One minor mistake was made on the items received and Matt quickly took the responsibility and corrected the mistake.
