Vehicle fitment,

• These are an upgrade for the 1HZ engine, however 1HD conrod’s will need to be used as they utilise a larger diameter gudgeon pin, along with a set of our turbo spec 1HZ pistons.
• It is recommended to measure and check gudgeon pin clearance upon fitment.

When do you need to fit billet rods in a 1HD?

• The one drawback to the 1HD-FTE engines God status are it’s weak rods.
• They start to bend at 400hp & 1000nm, which is an easily achieved number when paired with an upgraded turbo, injectors, and a Unichip.
• If you want to smash limiter, and send your 1HD-FTE to 1000+nm, then these rods are a MUST do for your build to ensure reliability and longevity.

When do you need to fit billet rods in a 1HZ-T?

• The most honest answer is that there a not many scenarios where billet rods are a MUST for the 1HZ, but if you are rebuilding your engine and want to fit the thicker gudgeon pinned pistons and have the ultimate in strength and reliability, these are a great option.
