1HZ UFI 16G Turbo suitable for Toyota Landcruiser with Safari Turbo Kit

This UFI turbo is designed & built as a replacement to suit the 1HZ engine fitted with a SAFARI turbo kit found in the 70, 80, 105 Series Toyota Landcruiser. Utilising the same turbo T3 flange as the SAFARI turbo, this means it bolts on to the SAFARI turbo exhaust manifold.
You will have to modify you induction pipe to suit your new 4″ turbocharger inlet.

• Toyota Landcruiser HZJ70/HZJ80/HZJ105 Series 1HZ Engine fitted with Denco Turbo Kit
• 1HZ Engines with existing Safari Turbo Kit Fitted
  Please note: This only suits kits with the 4-Bolt (T3) Manifold flange. Not 3-Bolt setups.

• Oil line to suit 1HZ engine
• Dump pipe flange

🛠️ Fitment Details:

• Manifold: Bolts onto your existing SAFARI turbo T3 exhaust manifold flange (4-Bolt only)
• Water Lines: You will need to block or remove existing water lines to turbocharger as they are no longer required for the UFI Turbocharger.
• Oil Lines: Replace the oil feed line with new supplied one in the kit. A Universal drain hose is supplied.
• Dump Pipe: Modify your existing exhaust by welding it to the dump pipe flange on the back of the turbocharger.
• Intake Pipe: The UFI has a larger Anti-surge intake, 4″ pipe from airbox to turbo inlet required, recommended in our bought together list under the add to cart option
• Turbo Outlet Pipe: May require modification to suit, depending on your model.

Please note:
-There are many different variations of Safari turbo kits for various 1HZ vehicles, and we cannot provide precise fitment information for every single application. This Turbocharger makes upgrading easy without having to buy an entire new turbo kit, but assumes a level of DIY ability on the installer to make it work.
-Not suitable for DTS Turbo kit, see here for UFI DTS Turbo replacement 
-Not suitable for Tillix T3 Manifold.

⚙️ Why Upgrade To The UFI 16G?

We find that a couple of different kits that were originally developed for the 1HZ engine had overly large turbos supplied in them. This means there is very poor boost response in the lower RPM, meaning the engine has to work harder for longer to drive the turbo speed up. This results in high EGT’s and a lack-luster driving experience. The TD05-16G is a great option as it provides the fastest turbocharger boost response with minimal added fuel.
