A reliable, high-performing turbo upgrade designed specifically for the naturally aspirated 1HZ engine. This UFI turbo kit brings the power, torque, and drivability you’d expect from a factory-turbo LandCruiser, without cutting corners.

🔥 Why Turbocharge Your 1HZ?

The 1HZ is a fantastic engine but underpowered by modern standards. The UFI 16G Turbocharger included in this kit looks and sounds great with a huge 4″ Anti-surge inlet, transforming the driving experience with increased torque, fast response, and better towing performance, while maintaining reliability.

 We’ve seen:

  • A typical Power increase from ~70hp to 120–140hp at the wheels (Measured on our Mainline Dyno)
  • Big drivability gains across the rev range
  • Lower EGTs and better performance towing

The goal isn’t big dyno numbers, it’s usable power and torque where it counts.

📦 What’s in the kit:

  • CT26-based UFI 16G Turbocharger – direct bolt-on fitment
  • Braided AN4 oil feed line with T-piece
  • AN10 oil return hose with weld-on sump fitting
  • Tillix Split Pulse Merge Exhaust Manifold
  • Metal MLS manifold gasket + sealing rings If required with stock manifold
  • Intake crossover bung with ⅛” BSPT thread
  • Turbo outlet to crossover pipe
  • All required fittings, fasteners, and clamps
  • Optional: Turbo to intake pipe (To suit standard 1HZ airbox)
  • Optional: Compete Manta exhaust system, or 3″ dump pipe for creating your own custom exhaust.

🛠️ Fitment Details:

  • Uses OEM 1HD CT26 style components
  • 1HD-T style front manifold bolts to factory “rear half”
  • Oil feed from the passenger side oil pressure switch port
  • Welding required for oil drain to sump. (Supplied fitting must be welded both inside & outside the sump due to double skin)
  • No water cooling required – turbo is oil-cooled only
  • Valve cover breather rerouted to pre-turbo intake pipe (not to crossover)
  • Bung included to block off the factory crossover breather port
  • If using an aftermarket airbox, a 4″ Intake pipe is required for the UFI Turbo

🔧 Tuning Information:

  • Wastegate spring set to 15psi
  • Boost controller optional – recommend Turbosmart Boost Tee for increasing the boost
  • Max boost level with UFI 16G: 28psi

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to weld anything?
A: Yes — the sump oil return requires welding in a supplied AN8 fitting. It must be welded both inside and outside the sump due to double-skin design.

Q: Does this include a full exhaust?
A: No. If you selected the dump pipe option, it includes a 3” dump for custom exhaust fabrication. We also offer full turbo-back systems — just reach out to us.

Q: Can I run this without an intercooler?
A: Yes, the kit works well without one, but adding an intercooler is recommended for higher boost levels or towing applications.

Q: Do I need to tune it after install?
A: Yes — a dyno tune is highly recommended. To increase the power, your fuel delivery must be increased to match airflow.
