Garrett Turbo Kit suitable for 1KZ-TE
It features a billet wheel and greatly increased flow and response characteristics compared to a factory 1KZ CT12B turbocharger.
Capable of up to 200hp, this turbocharger is the ultimate upgrade for your rig!
When used in conjunction with a Unichip ECU, this turbocharger will support over 200hp at 30PSI. We find them most comfortable at 200HP & 550NM @ 25PSI. Similar results can be expected when using a 12MM Mechanical fuel injection pump.

- Dayco Blankoff Caps (To blank off the factory water cooling to the original turbo)

When compared to the stock 1KZ-TE CT12B turbocharger, the Garrett 44MM turbocharger is in a class of its own. Efficient from 170hp and capable right up to 230hp, the Garrett turbo is a perfect match for your 1KZ engine. The dyno graph displayed below was performed in house on our Mainline Chassis dyno. The vehicle was a KZN165 Toyota Hilux on 265/75r16 all terrains and was fitted with a 3″ exhaust system, front mount intercooler system, custom airbox and a Unichip, tuned in house with 5 Map select.

Q. Is this a direct bolt on?
A. No. Some fabrication is required – You will have to make a custom dump pipe into your 3″ system. We supply the new flange with the turbo to do so. You will also need an intake pipe and intercooler hot-side pipe to suit.
Q. What PSI is the wastegate set to?
A. They come set at 0.5 BAR of 7.5 PSI. You will need a boost controller to increase the boost pressure beyond this level.
Q. What if I want to upgrade my turbo, but don’t want to run 200HP, do you have another option for me?
A. Yes, we offer 2 turbos in various size for the 1KZ application. This is the larger option, we also offer a 150-180HP turbo as well which we find is a very popular choice for those looking to do touring and towing.
