This Manta Exhaust fits DTS (3 bolt flange) Turbo kits for the 1HZ. We’ve found 3” offers the best possible power. The 3” exhaust system will reduce peak exhaust gas temperatures by up to 50 degrees, which is important for the longevity of your turbo system and engine. A number of different configurations are available for the 105 Series, so whether you’re chasing a truck-like sound, with plenty of turbo whistle, or you want the exhaust note to be as quiet as possible, we’re sure to have a solution
105 Series Fitment:
– DTS Turbo Kits (3 Bolt Dump Flange – Turbo Kit which was previously supplied generally by MTQ Turbo and Engine Systems)
In terms of sound level Manta rate their systems in ‘LOUD’ ‘MEDIUM’ and ‘QUIET’
We find for the 1HZ, once turbocharged. You can always opt for a louder option, the Medium option unlocks the turbo six sound and is a great compromise, considering it has a resonator and a turbocharger. The Loud option is a straight pipe exhaust with no resonator, so don’t expect it to be quiet, but we wouldn’t consider it extremely loud other.
A common improvement to the HZJ105 Toyota Landcruiser wagon is the fitment of an aftermarket turbo to improve the power and torque of the 1HZ diesel motor. When fitted correctly, the addition of an aftermarket turbo can improve power and torque by up to 30%, whilst not compromising the longevity of the engine. Of course, when fitting a turbo you will need an exhaust to suit, the factory one is way too small.
The entire system is designed for easy fitment, following the same path as the standard exhaust system, and using all the same mounting points.
