HD Auto V8 Airbox suitable for Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series 76 Series 78 Series
The ultimate airbox upgrade for your VDJ79, VDJ76 or VDJ78 Series Toyota V8 Turbo Diesel Landcruiser Ute or Troop Carrier. As we continuingly push these vehicles to new limits we are finding the need for high performing products which both deliver in airflow and maintain extreme reliability off road. This airbox is suitable up to 450HP of power, and is recommended beyond 200HP as we have found the stock airbox becomes restrictive at this power level.
Features of this airbox include:
- CNC Laser Cut parts including the brackets, 10mm acrylic lid ensuring perfect fitment and quick visual inspection of filter condition.
- This airbox features UNIQUE sealing capabilities unlike any other on the market, consisting of a Triple Lip Seal creating the ultimate sealing surface between the air filter and airbox.
- Retains the factory VDJ70 Toyota Panel filter suitable for on and off road conditions
- 4″ Inlet and option 3.5″ or 4″ outlet to give your engine maximum airflow available. If you have a stock intake pipe and plan to keep it that way, go for the 3.5″ outlet. If you have an aftermarket intake pipe such as a GSL Fab 4″, Fatz Fab 4″ GTurbo PowerPipe 4″, then please select the 4″ outlet.
- Suitable for Safari Armax or 4″ Stainless Steel Snorkel
- Direct fit with no need to relocate any parts
- Works with most front mounted intercooler kits
Includes:
- 70 Series Airbox (Powder Coated Black)
- Factory 70 Series Air Filter
- Duck Bill Style Water Drain
This airbox is designed to suit aftermarket turbo upgrades such as Gturbo, UFI, GSL Intense and others. This will also suit a 316Engineering & PDI front mount intercooler kit. A tune is not required to fit this airbox, however is highly recommended regardless (because let’s be honest, you didn’t buy the V8 Cruiser to leave it stock…)
Very cool products (turbo kit for my 80 and HD airbox for the new 79), great quality fitting gear, service at the counter and over the phone is awesome which is rare these days.
Thanks for the great experience.
The best service I have received from a company in a long time, I highly recommend. HD Automotive care about the customer, not very common these days. Thanks HD Automotive, look forward to purchasing more products in the future.
Well made and very easy fit no hassle at all
