Manta 3-inch Exhaust System suitable for Toyota Hilux N70 KUN26 Ute
Manta 3″ mandrel bent exhaust in aluminised steel with a black coating, suitable for the Toyota Hilux N70 KUN26 with the 1KD-FTV 3.0L turbo diesel. The standard system runs piping as small as 2″, which chokes the motor. We supply and fit these as the best sounding, best fitting option for the N70 Toyota Hilux, and they free up the 1KD-FTV.
🚗 Suitable for:
- Toyota Hilux N70 KUN26 dual cab ute, 3.0L 1KD-FTV intercooled D4D turbo diesel
- Toyota Hilux N70 KUN26 single cab ute, 3.0L 1KD-FTV intercooled D4D turbo diesel
📦 What’s Included:
- 1x Manta 3″ aluminised steel exhaust system, mandrel bent, black coating
- Complete kit with the gaskets and bolts required
- Choose your noise level: Medium (Resonator) or Loud (No Muffler)
🔧 Fitment Details:
- Follows the same path as the factory exhaust and uses all the same mounting points
- Suits the factory turbo 1KD-FTV and bolts straight up to GTurbo and Garrett turbocharger upgrades
- Manta rate their systems as LOUD, MEDIUM and QUIET. We find the medium option is a safe bet. It brings out the sound of the 1KD without being too loud or droney, because the resonator and the turbocharger both muffle the engine
- The loud option is a straight pipe with no resonator or muffler. Being a 4 cylinder, it is quite loud
- If you want to go quieter at a later date, you can buy the muffler section separately
⚙️ Why Choose Manta:
- 3″ mandrel bent pipe improves low-down torque and responsiveness, reduces turbo lag, and improves efficiency and peak power
- The hotdog resonator keeps the sound from being too droney
- We supply and fit these
- Manta is Australia’s largest exhaust manufacturer
❓ FAQs:
Q: Which noise level should I choose?
A: We find medium is a safe bet on the N70 Toyota Hilux. It has a hotdog resonator, so it is not too loud or droney. Loud is a straight pipe with no resonator or muffler, and it is quite loud on a 4 cylinder.
Q: Will it work with an upgraded turbo?
A: Yes. It suits the factory turbo 1KD-FTV and bolts straight up to GTurbo and Garrett turbocharger upgrades.
Q: What is the difference between aluminised and stainless steel?
A: Aluminised is a coating on the mild steel, inside and out. Manta give it a 2 year warranty, but we typically expect an exhaust to last a lot longer. Stainless is Manta’s premium option and lasts much longer in corrosive environments such as beach driving. There is no difference in sound between the two.
