1VD-FTV Garrett Replacement Turbo suitable for Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series
If the turbo on your 70 Series V8 has worn out, this is the one to put back in. Garrett built the factory turbo for the single-turbo 1VD-FTV, and 842127-5001S is Garrett’s current part number for it. It’s a GTA2359V, new in the Garrett box, and we have them on the shelf in Brisbane.
On the factory tune it’s a like-for-like swap, so you get factory boost and the stock 151kW. With a proper tune it’s good for 170kW, but you need the tune to get there. Keep boost at 19psi or under. That’s the safe limit for this turbo when tuning. If you’re chasing more than that, the Garrett PowerMax bolts into the same spot and suits tuned builds up to around 260hp.

❓ FAQs:
Q: Is this the same turbo my LandCruiser came with?
A: Yes. Garrett supplied the factory turbo for the single-turbo 1VD-FTV. 842127-5001S replaces Garrett’s earlier numbers for it, 775095-5001S and 769686-5001S.
Q: How much power will it make?
A: On the factory tune, the stock 151kW. With a proper tune, 170kW, at no more than 19psi. For more than that, step up to the Garrett PowerMax.
Q: Does it suit my DPF model?
A: Yes. It suits the VDJ76, VDJ78 and VDJ79 from 2007 onwards, before and after the DPF update.
Q: Will it fit my 200 Series?
A: No. The 200 Series runs a twin-turbo 1VD-FTV. This turbo suits the single-turbo engine in the 70 Series only.
