We have successfully tuned hundreds of Toyota Landcruiser’s fitted with the 1HD-FTE engine. This means that we have tuned just about every setup you could possibly imagine two, three, maybe even 100+ times! This intense focus on this specific range of products and tuning on the 1HD-FTE engine paired with our Multi-Mapping (5 Map Select) options and comprehensive performance packages has allowed us to develop a series of pre-tuned Uni-X modules that will replicate known and highly tested engine combinations giving you maximum potential gains while maintaining reliability and safety.

Benefits of the Unichip Uni-X Platform
- Coolant Temp Protection
- The Unichip knows your coolant temperature via a voltage input from the ECU which is read from the engine’s sensor. This allows us to de-rate the tune when the engine is cold or even worse, hot. This feature is fully inbuilt and an autonomous function unique to the Unichip ECU. No user input is required.
- 5 Map Select
- One of our favorite features of the Unichip Uni-X is that it allows us to offer 5 completely different tunes at the touch of a button. This means you get to have your full send party tune which may be 400+HP at the wheels, and still lend the car to a mate on the 200HP tune. Typically the tunes are offered as follows,
- Tune 1: Power + Hard Cut Limiter (If requested) (Focus on HP & Torque)
- Tune 2: Tow (Leaner AFR, still maintains a focus on HP & Torque to maximise potential of your setup while towing without pushing anything to the limit)
- Tune 3: Eco (Lean AFR, heavy focus on fuel efficiency)
- Tune 4: Stock (Or as stock as possible with larger injectors, this may be say, 200HP, where as a true stock power level may be 130-160HP at the rear wheels).
- Tune 5: Immobiliser. This function allows you to put the vehicle in an immobilised state where it cannot be started or driven.
- Boost adjustment available for each tune

- 3″ Exhaust, Upgraded Turbo, Intercooler, Stock Injectors, Upgraded Clutch – 220HP / 600NM
- (Auto Specific) 3″ Exhaust, Upgraded Turbo, HD Auto A750F Specific Injectors, Upgraded Intercooler, Wholesale Automatics Extreme Valve Body – 200-270HP/600-700NM
- 3″ Exhaust, Upgraded Turbo (GTurbo G333, GTurbo G380, G400Ti, UFI 18G/21L/23L, GMT Highflow), Highflow Injectors, Upgraded Airbox, Intercooler – 230-400HP/650-1000NM

Thanks to the guys at HD auto for a simple and seemless experience of ordering parts for my 100 series 1HDFTE, I ordered a unichip, +17 injectors and all the gaskets and parts associated with the upgrade and maintenance work.
All genuine parts were supplied and there were no issues whatsoever. The pre tuned chip has transformed the vehicle and the online youtube tutorial for installing it made things even easier.

I’ve recently installed a pre tuned on my Landcruiser. It’s stock apart from a 3” exhaust with 315,000k’s. Was well worth the money. Had a rapid chip in it before and now it’s got quite a bit more power in power and tow modes and in economy mode I’m using less diesel than with the rapid chip. Also installed boost and egt gauges to keep an eye on things, egt’s seem fine so far with the stock intercooler
3” exhaust, safari armax, stock every thing else with a HD automotive pre tune chip with 5 select map. Manual with 580,000 plus k’s on her and she goes like s rocket ship. DO IT! Also 5 maps give you the option of driving around on less aggressive tunes such as fuel economy mode.
