Suitable for leaf-sprung solid front axle vehicles only. Does not suit the coil-sprung 78/79 Series (1999 onwards), 80 Series or 105 Series.

Q: My bearings aren’t worn out, do I need this kit or the other one?
A: If your bearings are still in good condition and you just want to repack them, our standard swivel hub kit (gaskets and seals only) is the better option.
Q: Will this suit my 78 or 79 Series Landcruiser?
A: No. The 78/79 Series (1999 onwards) uses a coil-sprung front axle – see our other swivel hub kit for those models.
To do your swivel hubs, we recommend having the following tools:
- Metric socket set – 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 24 mm required
- Socket wrench with extension to suit above sockets
- 54mm hub nut socket (available in the drop down area)
- Breaker bar to suit above sockets
- Torque wrench to suit above sockets
- Drain pan (minimum 3L)
- Jack (bottle or trolley)
- Jack stands
- x2 Flathead screwdriver
- Steel hammer (claw hammer)
- Snap ring (circlip) pliers
- Brass/copper hammer
- Vise-grips or pliers
- Scissors or cutters (for plastic cable ties only)
- Seal puller tool
- Steel or brass drift, e.g. 6mm steel rod
- Razor blade (e.g. Stanley knife blade)
- Old toothbrush or wire brush for cleaning components
- Crowbar
- Large wood blocks x2
- Bearing and seal driver set – 39.5, 44.5, 50, 59, 72, 81mm required (not required, but can help)

- Toyota Drain Plug Gasket 12157-10010 x2 (differential fill and drain plugs)
- 3.6 x 45mm split pins (x3)
- Cable ties – 300mm (x7)
- Brake and parts cleaner (lots)
- Paper towels or rags (lots)
- Penetrating fluid, e.g. WD40, Inox, CRC etc. (recommended)
- Multi-purpose lithium base wheel bearing grease, NLGI No. 2 – 450g/1lb tub (x1)
- Molybdenum-disulfide lithium base chassis grease, NLGI No. 2 – 450g/1lb tub (x3)
- Hypoid gear oil API GL-5, SAE 90 or 80W-90 – 2.8L (Mobilube HD Plus 80W-90 shown)
