TD42 NA Turbo Conversion Kit UFI 16G
Turbocharge your TD with this complete Hotside turbo kit to suit the Nissan GQ & GU Patrol. In this kit, it includes all the required gaskets, turbo manifold, turbo charger, short dump pipe and oil lines. The manifold supplied is a factory style low mount turbo manifold, and will suit all off the shelf 3″ exhaust systems to suit the GU and GQ Patrol which have been made to suit the factory style turbocharger. It is a direct bolt on upgrade.
The UFI 16G is an excellent option for a standard TD42 Silvertop – A silvertop TD42 produces around 70HP stock, The factory NA injector pump will output between 120-140HP max when dyno tuned. Combine with a UFI ‘Mod Top’ Injector pump to go well beyond that power level.
TD42 Horsepower Upgrades
Stock Naturally Aspirated:
Around ~70HP.
Turbocharged (Tuned on stock Injector pump):
Around ~120-140HP.
UFI Turbo & Injector pump:
~180+HP is achievable, with front mount intercooler.
About the UFI Turbo
Designed to achieve the maximum torque and power from the TD42T and Ti engines, this upgrade provides great value for money. This process involves replacing the TD42 factory turbo with an aftermarket Mitsubishi TD05. We select and modify the replacement engine to meet the application’s low tor que requirement and the extra driveability that comes with that. This upgrade is not application specific and can be fitted to any combination of intercooled or non-intercooled TD42.
The UFI Turbo has a long standing reputation for performance and reliability, plus the large 4 Inch anti-surge intake sounds great.
Oil Lines
-There is a factory oil feed port the engine mount on the passenger side, oil line is supplied.
-Oil drain is supplied with a weld in fitting for the sump.
What isn’t included
Turbo outlet to intake pipe (This will need to be plumbed into your Intake or intercooler of choice)
Turbo inlet pipe (The UFI Turbo has a large 4inch inlet, this will need to plumbed into your Airbox of choice)
Exhaust System (Supplied with top section of dump pipe, to join up to factory style exhausts)
Things to consider Adding with your Turbo upgrade:
Intercooler:
16G Turbo can be fitted to any combination of intercooled or non-intercooled TD42 – But front mount intercooler is the best performing option and will always deliver the best results.
Clutch:
Heavy Duty Clutch is recommended.
Airbox:
High Flow airbox is recommended.
Injector Pump:
The UFI 11MM Pump & Dyno tune will deliver best results with this turbo upgrade.
