What’s the difference between finished and semi finished liners?
Essentially, you will get a tighter and therefore better tolerance using semi finishers liners as once these are supplied to a machine shop for fitment, they will fit the liners and set the final clearances up to suit the pistons to suit perfectly.
Finished liners mean they have already been machined to suit a generic size of piston, and are able to be directly fit into your block (great for DIY at home), however does not guarantee perfect tolerances as it would if finished at a machine shop.
